Frames    ¢
Frames are what allows the piano key menu to stay in place whilst the other pages change. It saves having to reload the menu on each page, so reduces download time.

An additional frame is used on the Index page to display the A-Z menu at the top of the screen.

Some people have an irrational hatred of frames - this is generally inspired by poor site design in which frames do not clear when you move on to another website. Unfortunately this is easily done by forgetting to specify the TARGET="_top" parameter in the link. If you find any such external links on this site, please talk to me.

I've made use of frames whilst still allowing those who have antique browsers to see the pages, which is why you'll find a menu at the bottom of each page even if you can see the menu frame with the piano keys.

If you have a frames-capable browser but do not see the piano keys on the left hand side of the screen, you must have entered the site through a side-door! Click here to go to the front door!
